5 Minute Mini Cake!

March 9, 2010
By

This cupcake is the fastest dessert I have ever made. It should take you less than five minutes to make, and is the perfect spontaneous chocolate treat to satisfy any desert craving.

If you’re having people over, the presentation is sure to impress your guests – they’ll never guess that you made it in the microwave!

Ingredients for one mini cake:

3 tbs plain flour
2 tbs cocoa powder
1/4 tsp baking powder
3 tbs sugar
1 egg
2 tbs milk
2 tbs vegetable oil
Splash of vanilla

Directions:

-Combine first four ingredients together and mix well. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir.
-Spray a wide cappuccino cup with a non-stick spray, or spread a little bit of oil in the cup.
-Add the cake mixture to the cup and cook in the microwave for about two minutes on high.
-It’s a nice spongy texture but it can be a little dry, so I suggest adding fruit, icing, ice cream, chocolate sauce, or icing sugar. Serve immediately.

Grab a cup of tea or glass of milk and enjoy!

Microwave cooking = perfect for rez! This would be a cute way to impress a date, even if you don’t own an oven :)

I have an oven, but I’ll be damned if I use it for anything other than frozen chicken nuggets. Microwave dessert, ahoy!

I tasted this, and it was unreal.

That’s a lot of egg for one serving. I found it tasted like a chocolate omelet. Sorry.
