LTC reaches tentative agreement

The London Transit Commission and drivers union reached a tentative agreement Friday evening.

The agreement is subject to ratification by the union, which is expected to take place on Monday, Dec. 14, according to a press release from the LTC.

The details of the agreement will not be released until ratification.

“Particulars regarding the return of transit service will be issued immediately upon ratification of the agreement by the parties,” the press release read.

The Amalgamated Transit Union local 741 went on strike on Nov. 16 reaching an impasse over salaries and benefits, among other demands.
